Why You Have the Potential to Live a Life Filled with Happiness

What equates to happiness? Is it sleep, exercise, meditation or spending more time with family and friends?
Happiness, the emotional state ranging from a feeling of contentment to intense joy differs from individual to individual depending on one's perspective.
At times, it is not about how the person is doing that will determine one's happiness, but rather if they have reached their life expectations. In other words, a person could be doing fine socially or financially, however, they could feel dissatisfied as they have failed to meet their life goals.
Launched to study the relationship between happiness and the decisions we make, 'The Happiness Project,' an online app studies the causes of happiness to understand how brain processes are linked to mental health problems like anxiety and depression, to discover new treatments.
Happiness depends on meeting one's goals, the choices one makes, the people you surround yourself with, the behaviours you engage in, your genes, your environment, the action you take and your mindset. Small positive changes accumulated over some time have great potential to lead to a life filled with happiness.
