Incredible: Gary Mckee, Cumbrian Man Completes 110 Marathons in 110 Days Challenge

Miracle marathon man and dad Gary McKee, runs a marathon every day after breakfast.
Four years ago, in memory of his dad Victor, McKee ran 100 marathons in 100 days raising money for charity. This year, the remarkable Cumbrian dad completes his final 26.5 miles within 110 consecutive days.
Inspired by his father who passed away from cancer in 2003, who he describes as the cornerstone of the family, McKee says,
"In 2017, my dad would have been 80 and it was 20 years since his diagnosis, so I decided to add them together and run 100 marathons."
Employed as a powerplant worker, McKee has always taken on outdoor challenges including cycling across Brazil, climbing the Kiliminjaro, trekking through New Zealand to running from Land’s End to John Groats.

McKee's three children Alfie, Beau and Minnie are also following suit by undergoing 110-day challenges raising money for cancer charities.
In the past, he had raised over £400,000. With a target of £10,000, McVee's fundraiser has already exceeded its target and currently stands at £130,000.00 for Macmillan Cancer Support and West Cumbria Hospice.
Making it clear that he does not consider himself an athlete runner, speaking to the Mirror McKee says,
"I’m not a runner, I’m a fundraiser - there is a massive difference. I’ve never felt that I’ve bitten off more than I can chew, and I always go back to the reason I started, which far outweighs any pain or discomfort I feel."
Receiving a great deal of support for his endeavours from celebrities including Zoe Ball, Eamonn Holmes and Mo Farah, McKee has made numerous TV appearances including ITV’s Good Morning Britain raising awareness of his marathon.
