House of iKons Returns: Championing Diversity and Leaving Their Mark on London Fashion Week

Held during London's prestigious fashion week, House of iKons' reputable Fashion Show made a grand return following over 18 months in lockdown, showcasing a diverse range of creatives under one roof from around the world.


Taking place just minutes away from St. Paul’s Cathedral at Leonardo Royal London St Paul's five-star Hotel, there was no greater way to celebrate the first live show after the ease of lockdown.



Before the ease, House of iKons continued to provide their designers with great visibility regardless of the pandemic.


September 2020, saw House of iKons showcasing their digital diaries ‘An intimate insight into the world of our iKons’; highlighting their designer's creative process.


February 2021, highlighted a short fashion film ‘Uniting the World of Creativity; a film comprising of their designer's artistic skills during times of uncertainty reminding the world of the importance of love, beauty, laughter, passion and friendship.

House of iKon's most recent (September 2021) live show was not only made up of international guests, press and media, the ambience was filled with the excitement of new designers showcasing their avant-garde collections despite previous hurdles.

 

Savita Kaye, House of iKons Founder and CEO stated, "We had every hurdle, obstacle thrown at us but this was not going to stop

our creative iKons shaking the pillars of the fashion industry!

 

With collections being delayed in shipments, travel restrictions, schedule updates at the last minute, the show was executed beyond perfection and my expectation."


Kaye continues to push the need for more diversity in the creative industry to the forefront with creatives from all ethnic backgrounds no matter their shape, size, height or age.



 

"We will continue each season highlighting beauty and creativity not just in design and music but for ALL regardless of colour, ethnicity, size, shape and sexual orientation; as everyone has the right to feel and look good, feel confident about who they are in the HERE & NOW!!

 

Everyone has that right and we will continue to push boundaries and stereotypes. We are still a small drop in this BIG OCEAN... But we will continue to create a storm and bring beauty and creativity to whoever you are, where ever you are, from around the world," Kaye continued.


Each designer had a unique trend and style for everyone and anyone with hair and makeup courtesy of the ‘Girl Meets Brush’ Team complementing the iKonic designer's masterpieces.


In addition to the world's most talented designers and musicians uniting, cross collaborations included The Fashion Life Tour USA.



House of iKons has clearly opened up the European Market for upcoming Emerging American Designers. Moreover, China's Chengdu Fashion Week has partnered with House of iKons also launching during Fashion Week opening up global markets for designers in terms of manufacturing, exposure and sales between the two fashion houses.


House of iKons Fashion Week Pre-production for 2022 is already underway with future projects both in London and several cities around the world. In an industry where diversity has yet to be fully embraced, House of iKons continues to challenge the fashion industry. The future is definitely bright.
