House of iKons: Pays Tribute to HM Queen Elizabeth II During LFW + Pushes Diversity to the Forefront

After hearing of the passing of Queen Elizabeth II, a few days before London Fashion Week, the fashion industry was unsure of whether to go ahead or halt.
Paying tribute to HM Queen Elizabeth II, House of iKons' (HoI) Founder and CEO, Savita Kaye gave an empowering speech. Guests stood during the National Anthem and thanked Her Majesty for the 70 years of service.
HoI continues to support a wide variety of designers in London, Los Angeles, and Dubai, working with celebrities from Beyonce, Michelle Obama, Jennifer Lopez, and Katy Perry. Affiliated with the World Fashion Council and named one of the Top Six Innovative Brands Disrupting Fashion Worldwide, the fashion house has always taken great satisfaction in providing opportunities to creatives from all backgrounds and ages, worldwide.
While setting the standard as market leaders, HoI is committed to elevating international designers and leveraging the inventive voices of creatives.

"We will continue each season highlighting beauty and creativity not just in design and music but for all regardless of ethnicity, size, shape and sexual orientation; as everyone has the right to feel and look good, feel confident about who they are in the here and now! We will continue to push boundaries and stereotypes."
Founder and CEO of House of iKONS,
Savita Kaye
The twice-annual show continues to celebrate beauty and diversity with models of all ages, shapes, heights, and backgrounds.
Held at the Leonardo Royal St Pauls London hotel in the heart of the City of London, on Saturday 17th September 2022, HOI joined forces with Liberté International (LI), a UK-based agency managing the full lifecycle of Digital Portfolios. LI launched their first designer ‘Sigrun’ into the MetaVerse with the designer's NFTs ready to be purchased at the show.
With new and emerging designers, performances and virtual experiences, HoI London Fashion Week created a whole new experience. This season the grand opening was supported by the Thai Royal Family - ICHKA.
For more than 9 decades, Queen Sirikit, (aka Her Majesty Queen Rama 9), has provided opportunities through supplementary occupations to households in order to preserve the arts and culture of Thailand.
Further, the controversial growing of hemp under strict government control has recently been permitted after successful trials with a view to benefitting the economy through increased commerce. Hemp is now successfully integrated into many products with an emphasis on arts, crafts and fashion products. Queen Sirikit has been a strong advocator of women’s fashion and has championed the cultivation of Thai silk throughout her reign.
A role model who has brought about the empowerment of Thai women in the 21st Century, Queen Sirikit is a strong advocate of integrating hemp (same as for Thai Silk) into cultural products, including fashion. This has enabled brands such as Tirawat’s of ICHKA to exist for the betterment of the Thai economy and Thai people.
